Job Title: Recruitment & Training Manager

Overall, Purpose of the Role:

This is an exciting and challenging role where no two days will be the same. You will be responsible for supporting with all front line high volume F&B recruitment across the theme park and hotel and the onboarding and training of new starters and the existing team.

This role will report to the Resort Director, with a ‘dotted line’ responsibility to the HRBP for the contract.

The role will enhance the Parks onboarding and training culture and team experiences in tandem with the other staffing teams throughout the Merlin contract at Aramark.

There will be fantastic support and lots of great people to work with including our shared services teams, regional Managers, HRBP and the L&D Business Partners, so you must have the personality to shine and support our outgoing and dynamic team.

A day in the life of a Recruitment and Training Manager:

  • Supporting with the recruitment of front line, high volume F&B positions across the theme park and hotel
  • Assist with posting adverts, reviewing CVs and screening candidates
  • Arranging interviews and running assessment days
  • Onboarding candidates and supporting with inductions
  • Working closely with the relevant HR teams and recruitment partners ensuring everyone works collaboratively
  • Designing training plans with the hiring managers and rolling out training sessions
  • Relevant recruitment and training administration and reporting
  • To manage and drive the labor plan and people service
  • Ensuring that the appropriate quantity, consistency and trained and knowledgeable colleagues are ready for work
  • Promote and enhance current systems and procedures in recruitment and training, always seeking efficiency.
  • Classifying best and most effective training methods for each workforce to include full time, part time and variable workers.
  • Have the personality to develop effective working relationships with the operations and BOH teams and support them.
  • Supporting major days across the contract.
  • Promote the apprenticeship programme via apprenticeship team
  • Work alongside the HRBP to implement, review and administer new projects and systems for efficiency and innovation.

You’ll be set up for success if you have:

  • Training and recruitment experience within a high-volume variable labor catering/event operation
  • Flexibility to work 5/7 days, including some weekend work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be innovative and have the ability to offer new ideas
  • High degree of IT proficiency including word, excel, PowerPoint and ATR/ payroll systems
  • Training delivery skills (essential)
  • Engaging, enthusiastic, sociable, and motivated (essential)
  • Ability to support change with effective project and stakeholder management skill
