The Role

We are currently recruiting for permanent Food Service Assistants to assist in the smooth running of a dynamic catering restaurant within the Nissan Plant, serving passionate Nissan employees and to help deliver Aramark’s mission “to deliver experiences that enrich and nourish lives” on a daily basis.

This role will report directly into the unit supervisor.

The key purpose of this role is to…. assist the supervisor with the smooth running of a great catering operation within a busy restaurant inside the Nissan car plant, this role is hands on and would appeal to an energetic, methodical person who can adapt easily within a changing demanding environment.

Principal Roles and Responsibilities

· Comply with all legislative, Client and Company Policy, procedures, and guidelines.

· Daily recording of refrigerator and freezer temperatures

· Keeping the restaurant/ retail areas always stocked. This will involve filling shelves, refrigerated cabinets and fresh produce, ensuring products are in good order.

· Ensuring the hygienic cleanliness of all areas, work surfaces and equipment.

· Carry out catering duties to a high standard.

· Prepare food for service, carry out food service, retail counter preparation clearing and cleaning of dining, serving and food production areas.

· Display a sound, up to date knowledge of current menu and safe practices.

· Cash up individual till takings, ensuring these matches the tally role at the end of duty or at intermediate stages

· Adhering to stock rotation procedures, you’ll price and re-price all products accurately using the epos system. Perform cash, cheque, and credit card transactions according to company procedures.

· Display and maintain table setting skills. Where appropriate to include service at top level functions down to afternoon tea.

· Have a sound knowledge of safe Catering practises and basic catering skills.

· Perform any other duties required to complete team tasks.

· Deliver food within site to customers when required, utilising company vehicles

Requirements – Essential and Desirable

· High standards displayed in personal hygiene, appearance, and general demeanour.

· Evidence of self-control under pressure.

· Proven track record of regular and consistent attendance, good health

· Comply with the Health and Safety Regulations and Fire procedures.

· Maintain hygiene standards.

· Follow Company or unit policy in dealing with customer comments or complaints.
