Job ProfileQuantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor - required join a specialist sub-contractor based near Nottingham. This opportunity requires an individual to manage, control and coordinate the commercial and contractual activities within the project. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be overseeing Mechanical & Electrical packages and will be reporting to the commercial manager.The most suitable Quantity Surveyor for this role will be degree qualified within a relevant industry and competent in using ICC/Network Rail and NEC contracts. The company deliver electrical services within the rail industry across the whole of the UK therefore the projects are of differing size and scope throughout the whole of the UK.The Senior QS will work as a valued member of the commercial team and have multiple responsibilities including ensuring the commercial aspects and impacts of a contract are clear to all parties, the Senior QS will be involved with Liaising with procurement staff to ensure that project specific items are procured within budget constraints. A main focus of this role will be to provide guidance to Quantity Surveyors and resolving contractual and commercial issues where they arise.Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Overview- Contract review prior to execution;
- Ensuring that the commercial aspects and impacts of a contract are clear to all parties;
- Liaise with procurement staff to ensure that project specific items are procured within budget constraints;
- Preparing and issuing, Sub-Contract, Sub-Sub-Contract, Sub-Consultancy and Labour Only Agreements.
- Providing guidance to Quantity Surveyors;
- Degree qualified ideally
- Previous experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor
- Senior Quantity Surveying experience
- Ability to manage a heavy workload.
- Full UK Driving license
- Ability to analyse drawings and designs
- An understanding of contractual agreements
- Competent using ICC/Network Rail and NEC Contracts.
