An exciting opportunity to join the Smartroof team has emerged, Due to continued growth we are looking to expand our team and are in search of ideal candidates to join us in the role of Contracts Manager in two UK areas. The role is site-based and requires travel from home to varying sites, with occasional overnight accommodation.

Locations:

South East (Reading/Guildford/Watford/Dartford areas)

North Midlands (Sheffield/Doncaster/Barnsley/Leeds areas)

Task Descriptions/Key Responsibilities

The Contracts Supervisor/Manager will be the direct point of contact on site between the client and the company. The successful candidate will be managing the relationship with the client, controlling and updating the programme plan and ensuring all deliverables are met. Candidates should have experience and a clear understanding of the housebuilding industry with a keen eye for quality and current health and safety legislation.

They Must

  • Provide strong leadership skills and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear and robust controls are in place to effectively manage subcontractors.
  • Ensure that the project is running on time and on budget, flagging risks and early warnings to the Smartroof team through regular updates.
  • In conjunction with the Construction Project Manager, monitor the quality and progress of installation on site, ensuring it meets or exceeds contractual requirements, until project completion.
  • Ensure that all Safety Management Systems are in place and in operation.

Qualifications (preferred But Not Essential)

  • SMSTS or NEBOSH qualification
  • CPCS Appointed Person

Skills / Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a similar position
  • Experience of managing a site delivery team
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications
