About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Officer to join the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine to:

  • Coordinate the support for complex internal and external quality monitoring exercises as they impact on the faculty, ensuring that effective administrative support is provided for a diverse range of Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies and external agency requirements.
  • Support the Faculty Academic Governance and Quality Manager, Faculty Assistant Registrar and Associate Dean for Student Experience and Quality Enhancement with the development and monitoring of teaching and learning, quality assurance and enhancement processes in the faculty, reviewing policies and servicing formal committees.
  • Monitor specific areas of the annual validation schedule, together with the appointment of external consultants for programme and module approval processes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the faculty and school administration/academic teams to contribute to the establishment of a cohesive and integrated team within the faculty and schools.

The post will be face to face on site based at our Ormskirk Campus, but there may be occasional travel to other sites such as Alder Hey, Aintree, and St James Manchester.

About You

As Quality Officer, you will:

  • Have experience of working with professional or regulatory standards and/or quality assurance procedure
  • Have experience in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, to an advanced level
  • Have experience of formal minute taking.
  • Have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills which enable you to work efficiently under pressure, to meet competing deadlines and co-ordinate multiple projects.
  • Be able to work on own initiative and use creativity to resolve problems.
  • Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, together with the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines to the required quality standards.
