Main Duties

Inspect, test or measure materials as part of the goods inwards process to verify conformance to drawings and specifications
Calibration of mechanical gauges , coordinate calibration of no handheld gauges.
Inspection of parts (from Components to full assemblies in line with GKN Procedures and documentation such as work instructions, engineering drawings and inspection control plans.
Ability to use the CMM and program.
Ability to raise NCR /QN documentation with clear problem statements to enable effective return of products to suppliers..
participate scrap reduction and process improvement projects with other functions.
Identify and eliminate non-standardized work practices and establish alternative procedures for contingency.
Conduct product and process audits.
Participate in PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plan development and plan appropriate actions to reduce RPN.
Participate in New product and process launch validation through APQP / PPAP process.
Understand process variation and take preventive measures.
Manage Product/Process Deviation requests and work with customers for approval.
Perform compliance and system effectiveness audits to insure adherence to company policies, procedures and customer specific requirements.
Ensure compliance to IATF Standards & other Customer Specific Requirements.
Organize and present data to management for decision making.
Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
