Sitting across our three business lines; Civil, Defence and Engines at our East Cowes manufacturing plants you’ll do just that. Established in 1901, one of our older production sites with a workforce of cira 800 employees. Our East Cowes plants, Isle of Wight are where we design, manufacture, test and repair high performance structures and systems. We have two facilities on the Island; Falcon Yard, Ferry Road and Osborne Site, Saunders Way. Both locations employ the company’s distinct competencies in major assemblies and composite structures for the global aerospace market. Our customer base includes Airbus, Astronics, BAE Systems, Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, Cessna, Cobham, Honeywell, Leonardo, Lockheed Martin, Rolls Royce and Triumph

Job Summary

As a Financial Accountant (Auditor), you will support the Assistant Finance Controller in reporting of Cash, Forex movements, Capital expenditure. In addition you will deputise for the Treasurer in their absence. Reporting into the Assistant Finance Controller you’ll join the Finance Team and take responsibility for:

Collating all relevant cash data from the Treasurer and Finance Business Partners.

Creating and managing the Forex process to ensure accurate and timely submissions to Central Treasury

Providing assistance in the creation of Business Cases for Capital requests and ensuring they meet all Finance Governance requirements

Completion of the monthly Journal Review.

Ensuring compliance with all statutory legislation and audit requirements.

Providing cover to the Treasurer in their absence, monitoring and allocating cash, covering payments to suppliers and supporting the capital asset process

Supporting the Assistant Financial Controller in Internal and External audits

Job Qualifications

How you’ll contribute

To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and expertise/ talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA

Experience of dealing with auditors, both internal and external

Knowledge of using ERP systems for finance transactions.

Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise in a fast paced environment.

Process driven mind-set.

Independent with strong ownership.
