A new and exciting opportunity has become available within the Quality Operations team as a Quality Control Inspector based within our Littleport Facility. Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, Operations you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the development of all products manufactured, inspected, tested and terminated by the company. In this role you will be required to work on a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern which will include weekends.

As a Quality Control Inspector - Operations you will be responsible for the following:

  • Monitor processes involved in the production of the product using Inspection and Test Plans and designated Manufacturing documentation to ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Verify and sign off start up and in process production documentation to ensure that important parameters are achieved satisfactorily.
  • Facilitate NCR/ITQ/DCR processes, including CAPA, to ensure compliance with ISO 9001.
  • Support with inspecting and testing supplied parts to ensure they comply with JDR purchase specification and drawings. Review documentation against Supplier Documentation Requirement JQ5.08.12100 and EN 10204 to ensure compliance and assisting stores and project quality activities when required.
  • Support root cause analysis of issues regarding the quality of the product to evaluate the need for action to eliminate the cause(s) of the nonconformity in order that it does not recur or occur elsewhere.
  • Develop and maintain visual management to allow quick recognition of the information being communicated in order to increase efficiency and clarity.
  • Assist with QMS documentation administration to maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and Company Document Control Procedure.
  • Liaise with the Production Management Team and all relevant departments to ensure that the agreed customer required delivery targets are fully met.
  • Compile and issue production travel packs for the products to be manufactured. Amending/updating as and when required.
  • Support the Project Quality Engineers with customer free issue inspection requirements, and conducting supply chain intervention activities as required.

To be considered for this opportunity you will ideally have relevant experience of working within a quality inspection role, be confident in all aspects of MS Office and have experience of using quality management systems. Knowledge of NCR’s (Non-conformance reports) and CAPA (Corrective and preventative actions) is also advantageous.

You should have a technical awareness of mechanical and/or electrical equipment, be experienced in data analysis and possess strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with the staff across all levels to ensure a thorough understanding of quality issues.
