About the Role:

Our purchasing department play’s a critical role in our excellent customer service and as a Purchasing Co-Ordinator (Buyer) in this team you will be key to its success; in its simplest form you’ll be responsible for ensuring that we have the right products, in the right quantities, available in our warehouse at the right time at the right price.

Our team places a strong emphasis on supplier management and continuous improvement of systems/processes to maintain a high-performance, results-driven environment. We need a confident and clear communicator who can foster strong relationships while holding suppliers accountable for their performance.

Building internal and external relationships is paramount, so your ability to establish strong connections with key departments, including the Warehouse, R&D, Finance, and Marketing, is crucial.

Ownership of department KPIs, such as on-time in full and stock availability, will be in your hands, and your enthusiasm for achieving them will be the driving force behind your success.

About You:

  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Stock Management or CRM type software is advantageous
  • A keen learner who thrives in a team environment
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise and negotiate with suppliers
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A positive attitude with a relentless desire to enhance processes

Position Details:

  • Reporting to the Purchasing Manager
  • Permanent role, 40 hours per week
  • Located in our newly refurbished offices in Hereford (HR2)
