Job Overview

Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a self motivated, responsive and enthusiastic qualified Nurse, Physiotherapist or occupational Therapist with experience in Respiratory medicine to lead our Pulmonary Rehab Team.

Our Pulmonary Rehab team are established in the community providing a professional, reliable and specialist service to patients within the Dudley borough. The service is highly effective in supporting with rehabilitation and care of patients who can benefit from education, assessment and exercise often within group settings at locations throughout the local area.

We receive great feedback from our patients regarding the brilliant care and support provided by this team. We are looking for an individual who can continue to drive the service, ensuring the standard of care remains of the highest quality while also continuously looking at ways to improve and update the service.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for the line management of the Pulmonary Rehab team as well as the and daily supervision of the service. They will be aware of any challenges the service faces as well as being responsive to any new or unexpected challenges communicating as appropriate to the Directorate Manager and Medical Service Head.

The successful candidate will also regularly work within the clinics to support with the provision of the service as well as monitoring the quality and safety of the care being provided.

Education and Qual

Essential Criteria
  • First level Reg Nurse, NMC registration or Physio HSPC reg or Occupational Therapist
  • Post grad teaching qual or equivalent experience
Essential Criteria

Skills and Experience
  • Clinical care experience within respiratory care
  • Experience at band 6 within respiratory speciality
  • Proven Leadership skills
  • Ability to manage difficult situations
  • Community and hospital experience
  • Experience of staff supervision

  • Resilience and the ability to cope with working in a demanding environment
