We are a growing Fibre Broadband (FTTH / FTTP) company, having grown from 100 to 650+ employees over the past 5 years and with circa 350,000 homes passed in the most difficult to reach rural areas in the South of England, we are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to own and oversee future fibre network roll outs as we push into new regions. The PM will be the single point of contact for the Contractor delivering our network builds (PIA and Civils) and will ensure that projects are delivered on time, to quality and to cost.Key Accountability & ResponsibilitiesManages the in-life build projects per commercial sub packages.Administers the project plan and ensures delivery of multiple FTTP projects to time, cost and quality in a safe and compliant way.Identifies and manages the critical path for buildManages contractor delivery on day-to-day basis.Work with the Head of Build on individual cost to complete exercises to ensure budgetary complianceHealth & Safety responsibility in line with Company guidelinesOn-site cost, time, and quality control managementStakeholder management - including Tier 2 Contractors, Local Authorities, Internal Gigaclear functionsDelivery forecast and reportingTracking of deliverablesContractor performance managementEnsuring contractor claims for AFP are validKnowledge & SkillsProven experience of delivering major programmes of work on time, on budget and to the required qualityPrevious experience in delivering civils, infrastructure, utilities, telecoms preferred and fibre rollout highly desirablePrevious experience in contractor management ranging from initial setup to managing deliverables via the 3rd party.Knowledge and previous experience of building good working relationships with Local Authorities, Highways highly desirableCommercial mindset with a proven ability to seek out, manage and influence colleagues, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure successIdeally an awareness and understanding of the importance of Health & Safety in a telecoms / civils build environment & an awareness of CDM.Strong understanding of how project planning and scheduling fit into the overall business plan of operating a FTTP network.Previous leadership experience with a desire to drive performance and encourage development.“Gigaclear is a vibrant, fast paced, exciting company to work for.
