Job ProfileA great opportunity has arisen for an internal based Project Manager / Coordinator to join a leading construction specialist located in West Sussex. The company provide sub-contractor fit-out solutions for commercial projects across the UK. Due to ongoing growth, they require an internal Project Manager / Project Coordinator / Operations Manager with a construction background to join their team.Project Coordinator / Project Manager Position Overview
  • Responsible for supporting the Design, Contracts and Commercial teams
  • Coordination of project activities to help ensure projects run in a smooth, timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Providing support to the Project Director and Project Managers.
  • Programme management and monitoring through the departments within the division; this would be handover of a project from Sales, through the design and pre-construction document management process, fabrication and integration with internal fabrication and associated logistics that need to be organised.
  • Providing updates into the system through construction phase that will be provided from the Project Management team and the close out support and O&M Management.
  • Issuing out the weekly progress dropline programmes to the clients.
  • Purchase management and making sure the Operations personnel are following the correct processes and procedures and tracking of orders and logging of the finances to each project is constantly up to date along with the file management for this.
  • Tracking Operations personnel with the producing of the O&M to close out in time for final completion of the project and ahead of final account. This will also be direct with the client team.
  • Sample management from contract requirements, logged onto Smartsheet and sample register, co-ordinating all sample management direct with the client, purchasing of all samples and uploads of the technical and sample submissions.
  • Management of the document portals, i.e. Conject, Aconex and 4P.
Project Coordinator / Project Manager Position Requirements
  • Experience working within a Sub-contractor or Main Contractor previously
  • Document management/control and Planning (Programme Management and Monitoring) background and experience.
  • Excellent document management skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Competent using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Commercial awareness
Project Coordinator / Project Manager Position Remuneration
  • Starting salary £35,000 - £45,000 (dependant on experience)
