Project Engineer - Full Time - Aberdeen, United Kingdom

Following the acquisition of a lucrative contract, Sulzer Aberdeen is actively recruiting for the position of Project Engineer. In this role, you will identify opportunities and efficiently manage the order book for assigned clients, ensuring that all projects meet scheduled delivery dates and attain the agreed-upon sales and margin expectations. This role offers maximum job satisfaction as a Customer Support Engineer interacts with all levels of the business and directly impacts the success of the contracts under their remit.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Regularly update clients on work progress, promptly addressing any deviations from plans to ensure transparent communication and the opportunity to revise plans.
  • Proactively manage Sales funnel and ensure accurate data is maintained
  • Liaise with technical, quality, and operations teams to prioritize and progress internal activities, always maintaining high-quality standards in the best interests of both the company and the client.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts Support Expeditor to monitor and ensure the timely receipt of external services, aligning with quality requirements specified in purchase orders.
  • Utilise data from various sources to generate consistently high-standard job costings, issue tenders, and ensure compliance with company rules, Delegation of Authority limits, and negotiated terms and conditions.
  • Contribute actively to the company’s strategy, analyse market conditions, and play a supportive role within the Contracts Team.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Capable and assured in customer interactions with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
  • Solid technical knowledge of rotating machinery and systems.
  • Robust commercial awareness.
  • Previous experience in a related position, encompassing roles such as Projects, Contracts, Technical, or Commercial positions, among others.
