An exceptional employer which has seen strong and sustained growth over the last two years despite the obvious difficulties is continuing to expand and seeking to recruit a Controls Design Engineer.

Joining a small team, you will specialise in progressing a machinery controls project from concept to completion.

The Controls design Engineer role will be extremely varied and challenging on a day to day basis including the following:
  • Design both hardware and software for customised solutions including automation and safety systems.
  • Develop Electrical control system design solutions within special purpose machinery
  • Develop software for machinery which will include integration of pneumatic, servos (20+), Variable frequency drives, relays, HMI’s, communication networks and robotics.
  • Understand the application of special purpose machinery from line manager and customer interaction.
  • Technical Support for internal and external stakeholders
  • Infrequent travel (15% Approximately) to customer sites (UK mainly) to commission and assist with controls installation
The Successful Controls Design Engineer
  • 3 years plus experience within a similar project based controls Engineering role.
  • Competent designing schemes for both hardware and software. (ideally Rockwell but others languages will be considered)
  • Willing to attend site and assist with machinery commissioning.
  • Qualified within an Electrical Engineering discipline to at least HNC level (or equivalent)
