Due to continued growth and success our manufacturing business based in the Crick area is seeking to recruit a dynamic Materials Coordinator to join our team.

This is a role with real potential for you to grow in experience and title as you develop within the business. You will be reporting directly to the business directors and could make the transition to General Manager role with the right attitude and drive.

The Materials Coordinator
  • Read and understand Engineering drawings to establish material requirements both in terms of quantity and grade.
  • Learn and understand all types of material grades with support and guidance.
  • Keep track of materials as they are consumed so they can be returned to stores and be tracked for future use.
  • Utilise internal stock control systems to ensure accuracy of stock held
  • Communicate with material suppliers to procure correct material grades in line with job requirements, identifying cost savings where possible.
  • Be willing to work hands on, handling material when required. This is not a role where you can sit behind a desk.
The Successful Materials Coordinator
  • You will be confident to read an Engineering drawing and understand how much material will be required to produce a machined product.
  • Strong user of computers and computer systems and able to quickly understand the stock control package used on site.
  • Dynamic personality with flexibility and a natural ability to prioritise and solve problems independently.
  • A background in Engineering / Manufacturing is essential
