Job Description
We are looking for a Production and Operations Manager in a fast-growing manufacturing business, specialising in load measurement solutions.
Permanent- Full time
Hours: Monday- Friday 9am - 5pm
Salary £47,000 (Dependant on experience)
The job role:
The Person
This role will suit a person with a can-do positive attitude, with previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment. The role will suit a person that excels in communicating well with other team members, is organised, but flexible in their approach to work and is driven by the need to succeed. This role will also suit a person with good IT skills to enable them to develop and work with new and current IT systems.

The job role:
- You will be expected to manage the recruitment and training of new production staff, as required to aid the growth of the business, with the assistance of the current Production Team and any additional training resources identified; and to maximise the flexibility of new and existing Production Team members, through regular team member appraisals and ongoing training.
- Work with all internal stakeholders to implement and maintain a production schedule to meet the company’s on-time delivery KPI’s and provide company wide visibility to enable the business to communicate efficiently and accurately with all external stakeholders.
- To develop with the support of the Management Team and the Managing Director any systems required to increase the efficiency of production as it prepares for the growth of the business.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce lead times to customers, with the support of other internal stakeholders.
- Embrace and utilise our ISO9001 quality system throughout the department as a tool to drive department and companywide improvements and efficiencies.
- Responsibility for the development and maintenance of the operational assets in line with business needs, under the direction of the Managing Director, including managing the efficient layout of the business assets to realise growth in the most cost effective way.
