Job Description

We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Production and Hygiene Operatives to join a well-established pet food factory on the outskirts of Lincoln. As a Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the smooth and efficient production of high-quality pet food products. Hygiene Operatives will focus on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within the facility.

Production Operatives:
  • Operating machinery and equipment to process and package pet food products according to company standards.
  • Monitoring production lines, ensuring they are running smoothly and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Conducting quality checks and inspections to maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assisting with stock management and inventory control as needed.

Hygiene Operatives:
  • Cleaning and sanitizing production areas, equipment, and machinery to meet strict hygiene standards.
  • Disassembling and reassembling equipment for cleaning purposes, following proper procedures.
  • Performing routine checks to ensure cleanliness and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Always adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting with waste management and disposal in compliance with environmental guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good attention to detail and adherence to quality control procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Flexibility to work rotating shifts from Monday to Friday, with a transition to 4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts starting in August.
