Production Operative
Temporary to Permanent
Continental Shift Pattern

We are currently looking for an experience Production Operative who is confident and comfortable working with machinery.
We have an exciting opportunity in central Birmingham for a manufacturer of high-quality branded paper hygiene products. Their consumers are retail and wholesale customers throughout the UK.
Due to their expansion they are requiring an experience Production Operative who preferably has experience working in food production or with FMCG.
Your main role is to run and operate their large paper manufacturing equipment and machines, having the ability to multi-task. Adhering to quality and process specifications making sure the manufacturing lines are working to the safe standard that’s required.

Responsibilities:
  • Run and operate large paper manufacturing equipment
  • Carry out Operator Quality Checks to standard defined in Quality Procedure
  • Checking and adjusting machines
  • Achieve output Targets set through effective teamworking
  • Perform Weekly Machine Inspection and highlight any defects immediately via Work Request system

Requirements:
  • Good eye for detail
  • Experience of operating High Volume Production Machinery (Minimum 2 years)
  • Knowledge of HMI (Human-Machine Interface), based Machinery (Preferably)
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Experience of working within a FMCG or environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Production / Assembling experience

The pay rate for the successful Production Operative will be competitive starting at £26,000 per year.

The hours of work are continental 4 days on 4 days off, rotating on a 06:00am - 14:00pm / 14:00pm - 22:00pm / 22:00pm - 06:00am rotating weekly.
