We are looking to add a Product Owner to join our Digital Transformation team in Europe, interacting with our teams in APAC and the US. You’ll help define specific stories in a scrum team for an innovative product that changes the industry. This is a complex application hosted on enterprise servers with ML/AI features.

What You’ll Learn & Achieve
  • Maintaining the team backlog – With input from System Architect/Engineering and other stakeholders, the PO has the primary responsibility for building, editing, and maintaining the team backlog.
  • Just-in-time story elaboration – Most backlog items are elaborated into user stories for implementation.
  • Accepting stories – The PO works with the team to agree on accepted story completion. This includes validating that the story meets acceptance criteria, that it has the appropriate, persistent acceptance tests, and that it otherwise complies with its Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager on roadmap management, program increment planning, and release planning
  • Work with UI/UX/Designers to generate wireframes and prototypes to support user stories and product demonstrations
  • Facilitate sprint planning and work alongside the Scrum Master to ensure that commitments are met and any re-prioritization decisions are fully informed
  • Support the development team throughout the development cycle by elaborating user stories and advising on priorities. Keep track of industry best practices and continuously suggest process efficiencies for the development team.
  • Validate whether features have been completed and decide when they will be released
  • Support an efficient cross-functional matrix structure to enable effective product development lifecycle
  • Execute a robust set of processes, focused on product development, release management and product support
  • Leverage a standard set of product management and software development tools
  • Actively model and promote a set of desired behaviors aligned with UL’s values
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
  • 5 years or more of related discipline experience or demonstrated competency
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification is highly preferred
  • Working with remote teams is highly preferred
