The role of the Product Marketer exists in order to deliver the highest possible sales and margin from their assigned classes and territories. This is primarily accomplished by using all available resources, reports, relationships and feedback the Marketer will constantly seek to find ways of increasing sales or margin through quote follow up exercises, backlog reviews, QBR’s or supplier meetings. By increasing their market and product knowledge the Marketer will constantly adapt their strategies to address the competitive landscape and market trends while maintaining focus on achieving corporate goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with Sales to clearly understand the opportunity and customer strategy behind a quotation, including proactively collating any further additional information, facts, inputs or feedback as required

  • On every quotation be clear about what Future’s cost is, what it represents and how that compares to what is available-or likely to become available-in the market place. Proactively seek to improve this cost and develop tactics to do this.

  • Execute daily replenishment buys report as requested

  • Build strong relationships with all internal and external staff including Sales and Suppliers in order to have access to the broadest information base, inputs, support mechanisms possible and find creative solutions

  • To articulate and maintain an awareness of Future’s key customers, key current opportunities, top running products in portfolio, current franchise supplier strategies, strengths and weaknesses and current opportunities and threats in their customers and regions.


  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and act in a proactive manner.

  • Preferably be educated to degree level

  • Commercial awareness and a high level of business acumen to maximise Future’s competitive advantage.

  • Competencies (Skills and Behaviours):
  • Displays logical thinking and rational decision making at each stage of the quote process e.g. qualification, execution, review & closure.

  • Deals promptly with internal and external customer queries and requests, promising only what can be delivered.

  • Makes customer satisfaction a top priority for self and team

  • Takes responsibility for meeting customer needs within agreed timescales.

  • Understands the key policies, procedures that enable own department to operate effectively with others.

  • Makes systematic and rational judgements based upon relevant information

  • Identifies relevant alternatives and evaluates the potential consequences of each before taking action

  • Continually builds product and market knowledge for relevant product portfolio. This would include understanding market costs, conditions and trends.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills for internal and external application.

  • Displays a sense of urgency, actions requests in a timely manner

  • Should be at ease with high levels of numeric data & proficient in MS Excel.

  • Applicants should possess the required Visa(s) to work in the United Kingdom.
