About This Role

The Product Manager will be responsible for executing the Openreach Product strategy and ensuring the in-life management of the Cablelink product. They will work with our business development teams and key external stakeholders (Ofcom, OTA, Industry and governmental bodies etc.) to design and deliver products and ensure effective in-life and end of life management for a specific product portfolio.

You’ll Have The Following Responsibilities
  • Driving and delivering the Cablelink Product Portfolio Plans to timescale and cost, ensuring best in class product development and execution.
  • Defining the Product roadmap and product strategy to optimize customer experience, revenue, market share and EBITDA
  • Developing and nurturing deep customer relationships that generate long term value for Openreach and its customers. Expert at building equivalent industry engagement, influencing key stakeholders (e.g. Ofcom, OTA) and customer opinion formers to shape direction
  • Improving and enhancing Openreach’s product portfolio through thought leadership and exemplary product management, and a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends that translate into creation of executable market opportunities
  • Planning, budgeting & cost control of development budget assigned to the agreed development programme.
  • Ensuring customer experience principles are delivered within the products to ensure customer satisfaction metrics and self-serve principles are met
  • Producing product information (PRD’s, product proposals, SIN documents etc) for internal & external customer use
  • Ensuring legal and regulatory obligations are met and Product Terms & Conditions and in-life auditing are in place for launch.
You’ll Have The Following Skills & Experience
  • Deep understanding and significant experience of developing large and / or complex new product initiatives using C2M process
  • Extensive stakeholder and customer engagement and influencing skills, the role holder will frequently engagement with external customers as well as engaging and influencing at mid/senior level with key external stakeholders including regulatory bodies e.g. Ofcom and OTA
  • Must have developed communication and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationships
  • Will regularly engage with the OR and client programme team, therefore developing and maintaining a strong working relationship is key for programmes to land well.
  • Experience in product or programme management
  • Excellent customer and relationship management skills, acting as an ambassador for Openreach with experience of creating industry momentum, engagement and market demand for new products
