Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Development Manager to lead our nutrition and supplements product line. This role is pivotal in driving the innovation and development of high-quality dietary supplements, including capsules, powders and liquids. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the entire lifecycle of product development, from conceptualization through to production and launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Existing Product Development (EPD) and New Product Development (NPD) processes, ensuring successful implementation and adherence to timelines.
  • Conduct and oversee production trials, including new equipment, ingredients, processing, and packaging, coordinating closely with purchasing, supply chain, and production teams.
  • Manage the scale-up of new products and reformulations, ensuring a seamless transition from trial to full-scale production.
  • Oversee the coordination of essential documentation for new products and reformulations, including manufacturing records, packing records, change controls, and product master formulas.
  • Ensure the approval of new raw materials, working collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to gather necessary documentation and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of product quality and safety, aligning with industry regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product development within the nutrition, food, or supplement sectors.
  • A passion for nutrition, health, and wellness, with a keen interest in industry trends.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • PC literate, with a good understanding of NPD processes from concept to launch.
  • Experience or understanding of the vitamin/supplement industry is highly desirable.
