We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Buyer, offering hybrid-working arrangements, working from home combined with time in our Guildford office (1 day a week). Procurement experience is required, and it is advantageous to have service / supplier knowledge in the Categories of Consulting/Professional Services, HR Services, Fleet, Business Travel, FM/Property Services.The role would be an excellent platform to develop a career within the world of Procurement, providing you with exposure to a range of indirect areas of spend along with regular opportunities to develop both your negotiation and supplier management skills.In line with Allianz’s “Ways of Working”, this is a Hybrid worker role linked to the Allianz UK head office in Guildford. This requires work to be done flexibly from a mix of locations with 2-16 days in the office per month, allowing time for you to build relationships with key internal stakeholders and the Procurement team. Typically in the Guildford office 1 day per week.Key Responsibilities

• Value and Benefits Management: Work with the Procurement Category Leads to deliver on agreed Category targets. Support on initiatives to optimise cost and increase value.
• Stakeholder Management: Partner and develop effective relationships with the key stakeholders within the business.
• Sourcing: Negotiate advantageous terms and conditions, creating value for cost effectiveness, higher quality and more flexibility.
• Develop and implement initiatives for cost optimization, supplier consolidation, simplification, service delivery / quality improvements, process efficiency and value increase, subject always to supporting the wider needs of the business, considering the procurement values “peace of mind”, “speed to market” and “value for money” as well as the underlying culture of the organisation.
• ESG: Support the wider objective of building a sustainable category Procurement strategy.
• Reporting: Track savings and regularly report on project progress through Ariba.
• Design Authority: Support on the data analysis for the Design Authority stakeholder meetings with the Senior Management team in relation to project initiative updates and agreeing strategic direction.
• Risk Mitigation: Manages risk through robust due diligence practices in alignment with existing Allianz Procurement guidance and processes.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong commercial, analytical and project management skills
• Stakeholder management skills
• Experience of working with Ariba or other strategic sourcing platforms would be an advantage
• Basic understanding of the P2P process, but not essential
• Good communication skills, i.e. in a broad range of situations, clearly and effectively expressing ideas and messages
• Experience of negotiation and supplier management skills
• Ability to work at pace
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Preferably educated to degree level or with knowledge gained through relevant work experience
• Allianz will support team members working towards their CIPS qualification Level 4
• Full UK driving licence
