As a Procurement Manager, you’ll provide vital operational and administrative support to the Goods Not For Resale Team throughout the non-merchandise procurement process, by managing the SAP Ariba procurement function. You’ll be responsible for leading a team, as well as for successful engagement with business functions and suppliers, so it’s important you’re a confident individual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Goods Not For Resale SAP Ariba Team with between one and four administrative direct reports and responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the Goods Not For Resale SAP Ariba system.
• Ensure the creation and maintenance of catalogues, and the uploading and maintenance of contracts within SAP are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
• Manage the contract data base and ensure that the other National Procurement Managers are aware of contract end dates.
• Escalate areas where stakeholders are not complying as per the agreed contractual terms.
• Create and publish full and quick sourcing projects.
• Make new supplier requests and add contact information to the supplier’s Ariba profile.
• Create knowledge projects.
• Create analytical reports and running pre-packaged reports.
• Conduct review tasks.
• Conduct approvals according to HoP.
• Delivery of the procurement vision and strategy.
• Delivery of category strategy and category plans.
• Delivery of savings/benefits against category plan and joint delivery of overall central procurement savings target.

Essential Skills Required:

• Operational experience of SAP Ariba.
• Experience managing a team that operates SAP Ariba indirect and direct procurement experience.
• Previous experience developing and implementing category strategies.
• Category management experience.
• Experience in category strategy development in multi-business unit environments, requiring strong relationship, facilitation and stakeholder management.
• Proven track record of delivering savings from sourcing activity.
• Stakeholder management skills.
• Strong people management and leadership skills, including being experienced in coaching and people development.
• Excellent communication, influencing and networking skills.
• Contract, supplier management and supplier relationship management skills.
• Strategy development, implementation and strategic sourcing skills.
• Contracting skills with a strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent written, analytical and presenting skills.
• High attention to detail and document accuracy.

• Salary starting from £54,285, rising to £79,040 (depending on experience).
