We are partnering with them to recruit a Procurement Manager to be responsible for developing the strategic direction of the purchasing function, supporting the senior management team in delivering growth opportunity across the business

About The Team…

As the Procurement manager you will be reporting to the Financial Director and will be leading a team of 2 Procurement assistants and working closely with the Production Manager.

About You…

As the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for implementing the overall procurement strategy, including procurement of goods, services and subcontracts required to support the delivery of projects, along with co-ordinating procurement resources engaged in response to project needs.

  • Create the procurement strategy that drives Steve Vick International forward and create sustainable buying processes for the day to day, key projects, and future plans
  • Be able to use the Purchasing system
  • Have a coaching mentality, identifying skill gaps within the team and looking for continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Experience using ERP/Purchasing systems
  • A bachelor degree or equivalent in a related area such as business or economics, logistics, supply chain management or purchasing
Examples of work
  • Manage the strategic procurement of all raw materials, packaging and consumables across a multi-site manufacturing operation, ensuring full availability to meet customer requirements whilst minimising costs and working capital in line with financial and strategic targets

What’s on offer?

The successful Procurement Manager can expect to receive a basic salary of between £45,000 and £50,000 plus benefit package including 7.5% matching pension, 23 days holiday (plus 1 extra day for every two years’ service to a max of 30 days) and income protection depending on experience, cycle to work / IT Technology for work scheme
