Senior Data Engineer - Remote, Flexible working - £70k-£80k DOE

Location: The role can be based remotely, with occasional travel (1-2 days p/month) to the head office in Thame, Oxfordshire.

Salary: £70k - £80k + Benefits

Role Overview

Robert Half are partnered with ULS Technologies, a leading PropTech firm in Oxfordshire on the recruitment of a Senior Data Engineer.

The Senior Data Engineer will take a lead in building out, maintaining, and optimising the core data solution. The source data lives in different systems (including SQL servers, Google Analytics and Salesforce). It will be your responsibility to build the right pipelines and ETL processes, detect anomalies, reconcile against source data, manage data access and permissions and to ensure the quality of the centralised data that feeds into further analyses.

Role Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end flow of structured and unstructured data sources
  • Be responsible for the centralisation and quality of data in the Azure Data Lake
  • Set up and manage platform technologies on Azure to support Analytics enablement
  • Be innovative and lead the data solution to meet our requirements
  • Set up data pipelines and use your in-depth knowledge of Azure technologies
  • Take the lead responsibility and put your stamp on our evolving data solution
  • Enable Analytics and Data Science with access to quality data and the right tools and technologies
Skills/Experience Required
  • 5+ years of relevant Data Engineering experience on Azure (Synapse/DW, Data Lake)
  • Experience with Databricks and streaming technologies - Preferred
  • Experience working with Google Analytics and Salesforce data - Preferred
  • Experience in MDM, Data Cataloguing and Lineage optimisation - Preferred
  • A strong preference for simplicity and transparency over complexity
  • Strong written/ verbal communication skills and data presentation skills
