My Client, a well-known manufacturer based in Shepton Mallet are looking to recruit a full time process operative. The successful process operative will ideally have previously worked in a food, drink, and / or pharmaceutical environment and have excellent attention to detail. The starting salary on this role is £31,000 rising to £35,000 once fully trained . This role is currently a rotating 3 shift role 6 - 2/ 2-10 / 10 -6 and the successful candidate will be expected to work all three shifts. However, from the 31st May the role will move to a 4 on 4 off Days and Nights Shift pattern

Process Operator Role
The successful Process Operator will be required to work in all areas of the processing department, under the supervision and instructions of the shift Manager. You will be expected to complete all tasks he assigns, which will include Fermentation Preparation, Product Filtration, Final Product Syrup Makeup, Bright Tank Makeup, Pasteuriser operation, loading and unloading tanker, cleaning duties and maybe working inside and outside. The successful candidate must be looking for a ’career’ role rather than a stop gap.

Process Operator Key skills
  • Food Hygiene Certificate helpful
  • Food manufacturing (ideally 2 years minimum).
  • Chemical awareness.
  • Ability to lift up to 25KG

Working hours - 80 per fortnight (overtime above 80 hours paid at time and half) and paid fortnightly.
It is expected by the 31ST of May 2023, the role will then move to a rolling 4 on 4 off shift pattern of:
  • 4 days on - 12 hours in duration
  • 4 days off
  • 4 days on - 12 hours in duration
  • 4 days off

When the role moves to working a 4 on 4 off pattern, salary payments will be made every 4 weeks and will be based on starting annual salary of £31000
