Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is recruiting for Process Commissioning Technicians for our BP Seagull project, to be based offshore ETAP on a 3:3 shift pattern.Responsibilities:- Read, understand and implement all applicable project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the instrumentation team’s work scope is completed safely and to a high standard
- Complete all client training to support the role
- Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack / job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches
- Provide support to other departments including the project operations team, where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team
- Under safe systems of work, function testing of process equipment in offshore locations
- Perform the work in accordance with the specified safety standards / project requirements / work packs
- Support the commissioning team to function-test the process systems in accordance with project technical procedures
- Function test and repair, process equipment and systems in accordance with mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning procedures
- "Red line" project drawings and procedures with any changes made/noted during testing
- Review construction documentation prior to executing commissioning activities
- Complete where applicable associated pre-commissioning / commissioning certification in accordance with the requirements of the project Completions Management System and associated procedures
- Ensure all activities are implemented in a safe manner and in accordance with the project PTW system
- Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) in order to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner
- Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner
- corrective works within the Maintenance Management System
- BOSIET / OGUK Medical
- IT Literate (Excel / Word / PowerPoint)
- Company mandatory training (Induction, Risk Assessment etc)
- PTW Training
- Plant Process Training
- Proven and demonstrable experience as a Process/Production Commissioning Technician in O&G or related industry
- Demonstrable experience in a Process/Production Commissioning Technician role, with a proven background of delivery
- Thorough understanding of the principles of Process/ Mechanical equipment / system commissioning
- Good knowledge of O&G related SHEQ safe working practices and procedures
- Knowledge of the completions process and the ability to understand / complete related check-sheets
- Offshore experience in a similar role
- Proven experience of control panel operation. Experience on the Emerson DeltaV platform will be advantageous
- JMS experience
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of HSE safe working practices and procedures (including isolation procedures) and able to implement these during completion of workscope
- Ability to complete applicable commissioning documentation (including test records, daily logs, fault reports and permit to work system) accurately and to a good standard
- Ability to understand / implement applicable working practices / procedures
- IT Literate in major software packages (e.g. Word / Excel)
- Conversant with the completions / commissioning process
- Ability to understand /project procedures and drawings in particular extensive understanding of P&ID’s / SLD’s / D&ID’s etc
- Safe Isolation of plant
- Ability to carry out service and leak tests of process pipework
- Thorough understanding of the principles of Process/ Mechanical systems including installation, testing, commissioning and general O&M of instrument equipment and components
- Ability to identify PTW requirements and complete associated method statements / risk assessments for the safe execution of workscope
- Driven passion for behavioural site safety programmes
