Overview

Join our team of developers working on software deployed on the world’s largest engineering projects. We are looking for new recruits to help us as we transform our Windows Desktop based software into a cloud-native SaaS platform to support the next generation of our business. We expect your experience will help us apply the best development practice and you will have opportunities to learn and apply new skills.

Responsibilities

We work within Microsoft’s development stack primarily using C# and C++. T his position requires you to use expertise in areas of software design and development to plan, develop, and debug new and existing software products. Y ou’ll work with multi-discipline teams around the world, and so while we love specialists, you’ll be expected to muck in across the board and contribute to whatever your team needs.

The right candidate will have responsibility for the delivery of high quality, release ready software components. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of our agile development process, including but not limited to, detailed design, implementation, testing and deployment.

• Work effectively on your own initiative or as part of a multi-discipline team
• Write well designed, testable code in a timely manner
• Create automated tests to ensure software quality
• Get out of your comfort zone and help other disciplines on your team when necessary
• Recommend and make changes and enhancements to improve the quality of products and procedures
• Assist the support team with customer problems
• Providing mentoring and guidance to junior colleagues
• Keep up to date with current technology trends
  
  

Education Requirements

We are looking for a developer who is well versed in C# and/or C++ and is comfortable working on frontend, backend and component development for the Windows desktop environment.

Ideally, the candidate will be educated to degree level in Computer Science or similar technical subject with a strong mathematical or engineering background. An aptitude and enthusiasm for software development is a must.

As we are working towards transforming our software into a cloud-native SaaS platform any experience creating REST APIs using ASP.NET or exposure to React and Typescript for frontend development is a bonus. As is any experience with Cloud platforms (particularly Azure), Docker, testing frameworks and DevOps methodologies.

We’d ideally like to hear from people with these skills, but the main thing we’re looking for are great developers who are always learning – so even if you’re not an exact match but can bring other relevant skills and experience to the table, then we’d love to hear from you!
