What You’ll Do
  • Apply experience in bioprocessing to lead identification and assessment of new technologies from the point of view of the intended end users
  • Provide input into user requirement specifications across developments, work across development teams both internally and with partners to guide product design
  • Coordinate with leaders across the business to identify and action new opportunities
  • Engage with end-users to understand target workflows and critical problems
  • Support cross-functional due diligence efforts and apply understanding of technical requirements and user needs to craft agreements and partnerships
  • Closely follow technical and market trends within the industry, work within the program and across related Cytiva businesses to identify new opportunities and enhance business ventures
  • Apply Danaher Business Systems (DBS) continuous improvement tools across all functions to assist problem solving, alignment, speed to market, and overall efficacy
  • Travel: as needed; ~ 20%
Who You Are
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Biochemistry or equivalent technical specialty required; relevant MS/PhD a plus
  • Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience with bioprocess development in the biopharmaceutical industry, upstream bioprocessing experience preferred
  • Experience working within regulated environments, understanding of the requirements, challenges and opportunities presented by the FDA and other health agency regulations
  • Strong technical understanding of bioprocessing development and the inter-relationships between various bioprocessing steps as well as how they contribute to overall success
  • Accomplished communicator, able to advise and influence senior level management, other technical specialists, and partners at all levels
  • Capability to cultivate productive networks of appropriate external contacts and key opinion leaders (industrial and academic) to provide insight into customer needs
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including a metrics-driven approach to decision making, proven track record of critical thinking, technical insight and execution for results
  • Completer/finisher mentality, creative and intellectually curious with a strong work ethic; able to accelerate delivery of solutions in a fast-growing environment
