Principal Auditor - Cross Divisional Operations, Investment Banking, Transactions, Regulatory Reporting, Permanent, Hybrid, Birmingham.

Our client, a leading investment bank, are looking for a well-experienced Auditor to join their global Cross Divisional Operations (CDO) team within a new Internal Audit function located in Birmingham, UK.

As the Principal Auditor you will work with management and staff in the UK as well as Germany, India and as part of the wider global CDO team covering areas of Operations Risk and Control functions, Global Reconciliations, Transactions and Regulatory Reporting.

Your responsibilities:
  • Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls related to CDO managed audits in line with Group Audit methodology and risk assessment framework.
  • Document process flows, identify risk, assess controls, and perform audit testing.
  • Contribute to continuous monitoring of the Group Audit CDO environment as well as annual audit planning process as required.
  • Work on ad hoc projects including methodology enhancements and regulatory inquiries.
Required skills and experience:
  • Experience in internal or external audit or complex audit environments, ideally with a professional certification (e.g., ACA, CPA, CIA, CFE, ACAMS etc.)
  • Proficient knowledge of key banking products and/or operations lifecycle (e.g., Reconciliations, Regulatory Reporting, Trade and Asset Services) is beneficial.
  • Strong ability to multi-task assignments and prioritise workloads with minimal supervision.
  • An ability and willingness to work in a high-pressure environment and deliver under tight deadlines.
