Your Impact:

Our Water & Environment business addresses environmental and sustainability challenges and engages with communities to understand what really matters. While we shape some of the very largest and most challenging landmark projects in the UK, we also delivery local projects that protect communities. We lead with the environment, and make social and natural capital central to how we solve our clients’ challenges. We are helping to create the sustainable and resilient cities and communities of the future, making attractive places for all to live and work.

Our team specialises in infrastructure in the UK and Europe, providing technical expertise in all areas of environmental assessment and consenting for clients such as HS2, Highways England, Network Rail, the Environment Agency and many more. We are at the forefront of developing best practice and pragmatic approaches to the delivery of environmental assessments and consents and have extensive capability in environmental impact assessment (EIA), strategic environmental assessment (SEA), integrated impact assessment (IIA) and sustainability appraisals across the full project cycle. The EIA of new infrastructure requires individuals with a broad range of knowledge of environmental and sustainability issues and excellent people management skills in order to bring together a diverse team of environmental specialists to assess the impact of the infrastructure on the environment and influence design through mitigation.

We currently have opportunities for Principal and Associate Director Environmental Impact Assessment Consultants to work on our portfolio of projects in the transportation (highways and railways), flood and coastal risk, electricity transmission, water and wastewater treatment, and conventional and renewable energy sectors. We are looking for talented and motivated environmental professionals with experience in co-ordinating, managing and delivering EIAs and associated consenting. The successful candidates will join one of our local Environmental Assessment teams within the national Environmental Assessment discipline, while becoming part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.
