Are you an experienced primary teacher seeking part-time work in the Ormskirk area?

An Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school are looking to recruit an additional member of staff to cover upcoming gaps in staffing across their Key Stage 1 and 2 classes. The role is to start 5th September 2022 and is on-going until the end of the academic year.

3 days per week (0.6). Working days are flexible for the right candidate.

The position is to cover gaps in staffing across the school, which include PPA time, management time, NQT release time, staff absences and school visits. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be confident in planning and differentiating for a range of year groups and learning needs. Behaviour across the school is good; however, there are some individual children who display challenging behaviours. The Head Teacher is therefore keen to secure a teacher with high expectations and strong behaviour management.

The school is a small primary school situated in the Ormskirk area, easily accessible via the M58 and public transport links. The proportion of pupils eligible for support from the pupil premium is below the national average, and the proportion of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities is low.

Staff in school are said to feel valued, and they appreciate the ongoing investment in their training. Seniors leaders work hard to ensure that staff have an appropriate work-life balance, and in return staff are dedicated and hardworking.

Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • NQT/ ECT induction successfully completed
  • Strong behaviour management
  • Experience of planning for teaching and learning across the Primary phase
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
