We’re looking for a creative PR and Marketing Officer to be the first point of contact for our media enquiries, develop engaging literature and coordinate our case studies work.

You will have hands-on experience of marketing and communications and be creative and independent in your thinking, and use a range of marketing tactics and tools. Joining a small team, this is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement a marketing strategy which will help ensure that care-experienced children and young people across England and Wales are able to reach their full potential.

Other responsibilities include:
Work with the fundraising team to develop supporter acquisition and retention key messaging and communications, for activities such as direct marketing appeals ensuring our supporters always get the best experience.
Research and produce excellent, compelling and accurate case studies, which demonstrate the services offered and the impact these services have upon the people we support.
Support the delivery of the internal communications and engagement strategy, providing clear organisation wide messaging to staff and volunteers.
Coordinate content activity across all channels, to ensure staff and volunteers are informed and engaged in organisational projects and activities.
Identify and develop media opportunities, working closely with the policy team and other staff across the organisation.
Produce and distribute well written, effective, accurate and impactful press releases, articles, statements, case studies, Q&A sheets, briefings and other media materials to local and relevant national media.
Work with designers (agency and freelance) to coordinate, edit and distribute marketing assets’

In your application, you will need to evidence, using specific examples, how your skills and experience meet the criteria laid out in the person specification, within the job description attached. Requirements include:

Proven experience either in a marketing/PR role.
Ability to write compelling and persuasive copy for a wide range of audiences and publications.
Understanding of marketing principles; both in print and digital marketing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative and with keen eye for detail.
