An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Costs Administrator to join our Legal Costs department to provide administrative support to the Law Cost Draftsman and Fee Earners in the billing process for Legal Aid cases, in order to maximise income return for the organisation.

You will assist the Law Costs Draftsman in liaising with Fee Earners and external costs drafting providers to ensure prompt production, review, and approval of bill of costs/claims. You will also be responsible for running the post-assessment procedure, involving transfer of information and figures onto relevant forms and further submission to Court/Legal Aid Agency (LAA)/Client and Cost Management.

In your application, you will need to evidence, using specific examples, how your skills and experience meet the criteria laid out in the person specification, within the job description attached. Requirements include:

Previous experience of office administration.
Experience of working with a legal case management system.
Ability to maintain databases, financial procedures and practices as required.
Good numerical and statistical ability.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
