We are looking for a driven PR and Social Manager to join TalkTalk’s PR team.
You will be responsible for helping to drive TalkTalk’s PR and Communications strategy. Developing and executing impactful PR and Social activations to cut through the noise is a challenge that you enjoy. And landing a regular drumbeat of media and social coverage.
Leading the TikTok strategy and devising influencer campaigns to raise the profile of TalkTalk with its key audiences is a key part of this role. The position requires you to be proactive by nature and a good storyteller. You will bring fresh thinking, a creative mindset and new ideas that challenge the team to think differently.
About the role:

As a PR and Social Media Executive you will:
  • Work with the Head of PR to develop and execute the PR and Social strategy.
  • Secure a regular drumbeat of media coverage through campaigning, proactive press office activity and newsjacking.
  • Measure and evaluate PR and Social activity to ensure it delivers against the strategy and meets KPIs.
  • Drive innovation and creativity within the PR and Social function.
  • Write and edit comms materials ranging from press announcements to reactive statements and social copy.
  • Lead TalkTalk’s awards and reviews programme to build trust with prospects.
  • Build relationships internally and externally with colleagues and media.
  • Manage agencies and the PR and Social Executive to help deliver standout media coverage and social content.
  • Management of the Consumer PR budget alongside the Head of PR.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of TalkTalk, the news agenda, consumer trends and social landscape.
About you:
To be succesful in this role you will need
  • Proven track record of delivering successful PR and Social activations.
  • Creative thinker and brings new ideas to the table.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Show the organisational abilities to plan and run a campaign.
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong copywriting and grammar skills.
  • Solid knowledge of the media and social landscape.
  • Experience creating social content.
  • Agency management experience.
  • Telecoms experience is a plus.
Other information:
  • Role split: 70% PR / 30% social
  • This is a rough guide and may adjust between activities at specific times.
- A small amount of out of hours work is required - around 2 hours every month
