Job DescriptionPLC EngineerSunderland£50k- £60KOnsiteThe PLC Engineer will be responsible for delivering engineering work packages contributing to product designs, schematics, drawings, and documentation sets. The PLC Engineer will be reporting directly to the Director of Engineering.Package£50,000 - £60,000Pension schemePrivate healthcareHolidays (will vary dependant on experience)RoleThe PLC Engineer will deal with Build the concept from the quotation stage through delivery Involve clients in meetings and conversations to define scope and detail Ensure the assessment fits budget while accounting for anticipated variations and materials. Discuss the ramifications of changes with the Head of Projects. Prior to signing off, submit any necessary variation orders. Ensure quality communication with the Head of Projects and Production Operations in the design specification, influence on project timelines, and production specification quality.RequiredThe PLC Engineer must be knowledgeable in at least one of the three areas of electrical, software, and commissioning. The salary for the position will be determined by competency and performance in all areas of electrical, software, and commissioning.The PLC Engineer must be educated to a degree level or have an equivalent of engineering qualifications.Minimum of 5 years in a senior capacity in complex engineering environmentA good understanding of control system design and implementation principles.PLC background in Siemens is preferred.
