Role ResponsibilityShepway Community Services is a Kent County Council Support and Enablement Service, supporting people with learning and physical disabilities in the Shepway area within the East Kent locality. We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team.We are looking for a Support Worker to assist people to meet their aspirations through a person-centred approach, focusing on the outcomes for the individual. promoting social inclusion, rights, and choices, leading to an increase in independence and fulfilled lives.You will have a flexible approach to supporting people to access activities and participate fully in their local community. We also support Individuals with more complex support and communication needs, and you may be required to provide support with some personal care tasks including continence and nutrition. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be provided with access to a vast range of training, the support to learn, develop and gain new skills which will enable you to become part of a professional, creative, and motivated team.The successful candidate would be required to evidence that they have the core values required of staff working in our services and will need to complete the Care Certificate and Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care once in service if not already achieved .Successful candidates should expect to work across our three hubs based at Hythe, New Romney, and Folkestone.
