Main duties of the job

To develop and manage the Perinatal Mental health Team and be responsible for developing good relationships between East, Central and West areas, neighbouring services within BCUHB, ie. Community Mental Health Teams, in patient units, Womens and children’s services as well as other statutory agencies and the voluntary sector. Using a multi disciplinary Team approach, the post holder will develop the team who will provide support and advice for women and a range of professionals and will assess and manage referrals across a spectrum of Perinatal Mental Health issues. The post holder will conduct comprehensive assessments in Perinatal Mental health and will work with Primary Care, CMHT’s, Psychology and psychiatry to formulate effective care plans for individuals. The post holder will provide leadership and management of the Perinatal Mental health team and ensure that the team deliver effective Clinical Care which aims to promote the wellbeing of the individual and their family as well as agreed service standards and outcome measures.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
