Penetration Tester - Ethical Hacking, Security, Vulnerability research

£70,000 - £90,000 - On-site in Knutsford -commutable from Manchester, Stockport, Wilmslow, Warrington, Chester, Crewe, Macclesfield, and Northwich.

Applause IT are looking for an experienced Penetration Tester to join a global leading company in the cybersecurity sector. Since the launch of their bespoke, cutting-edge software, they have rapidly grown to become the leading provider of software tools for web security, providing services to over 70,000 customers across 150 countries, such as, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft.

You will be joining a world - class web security research team, who have a true passion for cybersecurity. As part of your role as Penetration Tester, you will be sharing your knowledge of web security vulnerabilities and how to find them and researching new vulnerabilities and detection techniques.

The Successful Penetration Tester Will
  • Have 5+ years of experience of penetration testing web applications
  • Possess strong verbal communication skills and be able to explain complex technical details to a less technical audience.
  • Be an expert in web security testing, with good knowledge of finding and exploiting web vulnerabilities.
  • Have great time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and work to deadlines, whilst managing your own agenda.
