Job Description
Payroll Administrator (Temp up-to 6 month period)
Salary - £18,830 / £20,226
Location - Shiremoor
Position
Administrative support activities to facilitate accurate and timely production of monthly payrolls, whilst ensuring legislative and internal compliance/controls are applied.
Key Responsibilities
" Update and validate recurring and non-recurring Payroll data input.
" Checking and verification of Payroll exception reports, both pre and post payroll production.
" A range of ad-hoc tasks and duties, as and when required.
" Scanning documents to employee records.
" Import and reconciliation of HMRC tax code data.
" General Payroll queries.
" Ad-hoc and Monthly reporting.
" Investigating and answering payroll queries from customers.
Key Competencies
" Must demonstrate unquestionable levels of integrity and confidentiality.
" Strong team player but also somebody who can work on their own and be a ’self starter’
" Logical thinker with good numeracy skills
" Strong communication and inter-personal skills
" Flexible worker
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
" Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office eg Excel / Word.
" Operational experience of Oracle would be advantageous but not essential.
" (The usual qualification entry requirement as stipulated by NPG ie GCSE’s etc)
