About The Role

We are exited for two experienced Support Workers to join our team in Banbury, Oxfordshire to work with customers with Learning Disabilities and Autism to provide practical assistance and emotional support to enable them to live secure and happy, independent lives. Some of our customers have challenging behaviours and/or forensic history so any previous experience in this field would be and advantage.

The successful candidates will be working in an environment which encourages a person-centred approach to enable customers to realise their hopes, dreams and aspirations

Duties May Include (but Is Not Limited To)

Providing support to individuals to meet their particular needs as identified within their support plan enabling them to make informed choices while promoting their privacy and dignity.
  • Personal care
  • Laundry and housework
  • Food preparation and cooking
  • Budgeting and shopping
  • Monitoring and/or administering medications
  • Being active in the community (employment, study, volunteering and/or leisure activities)
  • Maintaining relationships with family and friends
  • Social activities
  • Accompanying customers to appointments and/or on excursions
  • Working in partnership with other agencies and organisations

Please note due to the needs of our customers we require the successful candidate to have some experience in working with people with Autism and challenging behaviour.
