About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic team that provides support to seven customers with learning disabilities and epilepsy in supported housing. You will be supporting young adults with complex needs and challenging behaviours, this role can be quite diverse which makes it both interest and rewarding.

You will be passionate about ensuring the service we deliver is person centred and support our customers to develop their confidence, skills and independence in their homes and in the local community including

You will work together with the team and in partnership with other agencies to provide an excellent service.
  • Maintaining their homes
  • Budgeting and shopping
  • Planning and preparing meals
  • Personal Care
  • Accessing activities in the community (study, volunteering, social/leisure activities)
  • Support with medication
About The Candidate

The successful candidate will have experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or epilepsy. We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about improving the lives of local, vulnerable people, have previous experience in care and the ability and determination to support people with complex needs, mental health conditions and learning disabilities.

If you think a Casual Support Worker role sounds right for you, you will need to be:
  • Flexible to work on a rolling Rota
  • Good at working both on your own and/or within a team
  • Excellent at communicating with people both verbally and in writing
  • Able to complete good quality support records
  • Able to evidence good IT skills
  • Have an understanding of challenging behaviours
Please note due to the needs of our customers some experience in working in support/care is essential for this role.
