Page Personnel are currently working with a well established company in the Transport and Distribution sector, who are searching for a part time Payroll/HR Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is based in Hessle and demands a strong attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality. This is a mid-sized company in the Transport & Distribution industry, employing over 500 individuals. The company has a strong presence in Hessle and is known for its commitment to delivering high-quality services to its customers.
Job Description
- Oversee all payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle HR administrative tasks, including employee records and benefits management.
- Support the Accounting & Finance department in budgeting and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Liaise with other departments to streamline HR and payroll processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll and HR matters.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Part-time Payroll/HR Officer should have:
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in payroll software and HR systems.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with the Transport & Distribution industry’s regulations and standards.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.

- A competitive salary ranging between £18,000 - £24,000 per annum. Pro Rata
- A part-time role offering 18-20 hours per week.
