Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join an established Affordable Housing provider in South Devon within the Housing Services department. This not-for-profit organisation work with residents from a variety of backgrounds to ensure they have appropriate housing, with the company offering free parking.

The position as a part-time Housing Officer is on a permanent basis covering a small patch of homes across South Devon and Teignbridge, with residents primarily of an older nature.

Primary responsibilities would include:
    Supporting residents in their independent living
    Assisting with tenancy management and the letting of void properties
    Organising activities with older residents
    To organise activities with the residents
    Ensuring that properties are safe and compliant, with any issues reported
    To undertake Heath and Safety inspections

The ideal person would have worked within a social housing setting previously and have excellent communication skills. The ability to work independently would be advantageous due to the nature of the position, and a driving license is essential.
