Part Time Accounts Clerk/Bookkeeper - Truro

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively assigned by a new client, a successful and growing Financial Services Company based in Truro. This client is looking to bring in an experienced in house Accounts Clerk/Bookkeeper to head up the accounting function. This is a part time position over 16 hours per week. Your hours can be flexible to suit you, however they must be office based.

I’m looking for a candidate with strong organisational experience gained within a similar role. The business uses Xero software and experience in using the package will be essential. This a is a broad role that covers many areas of the finance function with responsibilities to include:

  • Maintenance of the accounts payable and receivable function. Producing and sending invoices, paying suppliers and producing statements of account
  • Complete the set up of Xero
  • Providing weekly reports and P&L for the Directors
  • Providing assistance with year end and directors tax returns.
  • Administration of expenses and company credit cards
  • General administrative duties and additional finance duties as required

I’m more focussed on relevant experience than qualifications, it’s the Xero experience that is crucial. The person-fit is almost as valuable as technical experience as the successful candidate will be working as part of a small and energetic team.
