We are looking for a volunteer to support the work of our force’s parenting group. The role of this group is to:
- provide advice and support
- influence policy and procedure change
- plan and coordinate keeping in touch events for those on parental leave
The Role
The role of a Parenting Group Volunteer will be to support the Parenting Group with their activity.
Key Responsibilities
Your main tasks as a Parenting Group Volunteer will be to carry out essential administration including recording actions and decisions at meetings and assisting with the planning of keeping in touch events. Group meetings take place during weekday office hours.
You may also be asked to undertake specific projects or research in support of the work of the Parenting Group.
Skills & Experience
You will need to have a desire to make a difference to the working parents/guardians within our organisation.
Ideally you will have some experience of carrying out administrative duties, but this is not as essential as a positive and supportive approach.
Previous experience of organising events would be advantageous, but again this is not essential.
