Our Banking & Finance team at HCR work with a variety of businesses to help them to secure funding to grow their business. Our specialist team work closely with their clients to really understand their needs to find the right funding solution for them. Whether it’s the launch of a new product or the acquisition of a new company, we are able to provide innovative approaches to funding in order to meet our clients’ needs.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join our Banking team, and we are open to applicants who can be based from either our Birmingham, London or Cheltenham offices.

By joining this ambitious and entrepreneurial team you’ll have the opportunity to work with our Partners and support them on all matters, you will gain invaluable technical and legal skills to set you well on your way in your legal career.

We are looking for a Paralegal to join the team who either has previous Paralegal or office-based experience. Ideally you will have also completed your LPC or be working towards a legal qualification.

Typical Duties include: –

  • Managing aspects of files managed by qualified Solicitors and undertaking routine legal tasks as directed and under supervision.
  • Provide legal support to designated fee earners and act as a legal resource for the wider team, providing help where required
  • Review documents
  • Draft documents
  • Undertaking legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results in an accurate and timely manner
  • Create a work in progress priority system to prioritise tasks and general caseload
  • Regular liaison with clients in order to keep transactions on schedule
