Job overview

To provide a comprehensive and high standard PA & administrative service to the Assistant Directors of Nursing

Responsibilities will include management of diaries, receiving, recording and distributing correspondence, maintaining an efficient filing system, typing correspondence and other papers, managing administrative systems, arranging regular and ad-hoc meetings and taking clear and concise notes and minutes of meetings as required.


Main duties of the job


To be responsible for managing and organising multi diaries. This will involve prioritising appointments, taking the initiative where appropriate to arrange meetings to ensure the best use of time and raising instances where priorities conflict. The post holder will ensure that the purpose of meetings and other appointments are always clearly stated. Take notes and minutes at meetings as required picking out key points from the discussions.

To work effectively with other Admin staff to ensure cross cover for holidays and other absences and ensure work is delivered on time.

To demonstrate confidence and professionalism in interacting with people at levels and to have appropriate knowledge and understanding of Trust policies and procedures.

To support the Assistant Directors of Nursing and Team in all elements of administrative procedures, which will require flexibility in the work routine and working to targets and deadlines.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

I understand this is an automated process and the information will only be used for these purposes prior to me taking up the position at NUH.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service: Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incur a cost dependent on the level of check required (£41.90 for enhanced and £21.90 for standard). I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
