We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Support Manager, to maximise the performance of depot operations to meet client and DHL requirements through effective direction, resource planning, meaningful and regular communication at all levels, and ongoing training and development as required.

  • Manage operational performance, resource, and workload planning on shift to achieve agreed KPI’s on productivity, quality, and cost
  • Personally develop and drive continuous improvement activities and ensure that all change programmes are fully embedded.
  • Support, develop and performance manage the operational management team to drive a high-performance culture
  • Manage operational cost budget and identify cost saving opportunities where appropriate
  • Ensure that SOP’s, SSOW and company policies and processes are being always adhered
  • Accountable for delivering a safe, high quality, and customer focused service
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with Trade Union or other colleague representation bodies

Requirements:

  • Experience of working within a supply chain environment and leading teams in a logistics / warehousing environment - Essential
  • Demonstrable record of leading change management projects with particular focus on site culture and using Process Improvement techniques, CAPA etc to resolve operational issues
  • Self-motivated individual able to demonstrate ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as on own initiative
  • Clear record of building and developing teams, driving high performance, and engaging with colleagues at all levels
  • Project management (PM101, Prince2) - desirable
  • Initiative Champion / PIA trained (DMAIC) - desirable
